Healthcare Quality Strategies, Inc., (HQSI) is responsible for protecting people with Medicare by ensuring that the healthcare they receive is medically necessary, is provided in the most appropriate setting, and meets professionally recognized standards of care.
- Medicare beneficiaries have the right to file a complaint if they think they aren't receiving quality services or if they have quality of care issues. Call HQSI at 1-800-624-4557 if you have a quality of care complaint.
- Medicare beneficiaries have the right to appeal if they are told that Medicare will no longer pay for services by a healthcare provider or for their stay in a healthcare facility. If they have been informed in writing that their coverage or services will be stopped and they believe that they still need the services or need to stay in the facility, call HQSI at 1-800-624-4557 for more information.
