Accelerating Healthcare Quality Improvement
HQSI, working in partnership with the federal government, has been serving as an important and free resource to New Jersey’s healthcare community since 1984. Although our name has changed over the years (you may remember us as The Peer Review Organization of New Jersey, Inc., or as PRONJ), our mission – accelerating healthcare quality improvement in New Jersey– has remained constant.
HQSI is now implementing its tenth successive contract for the Medicare program, which started on
August 1, 2011, and ends on July 31, 2014. Our work as the federally-designated Quality Improvement Organization for New Jersey puts us in a unique position – our sole focus is to help New Jersey’s healthcare community accelerate quality improvement. Our services are underwritten by the federal government so there has never been any cost to a provider or physician for working with us on any of our quality improvement projects. It is our privilege to serve you and the federal government in this capacity.
Working together, we can achieve better patient care, improved population health and reduced healthcare costs through quality improvement. In so doing, we will achieve a shared goal – ensuring that every patient receives the right care every time.
